MORE DETAILS

According to factory records, production was finished in November 1970. The car was delivered in Argento Indianapolis with a Nero over Beige interior in Leatherette with Fabric centerparts. It’s a so-called late production Lamborghini Miura P400 S, or second series. The later cars benefit from a thicker chassis, a further strengthened body tub and improved ventilated disc brakes on both front and rear wheels.

It was not until 18 May 1971, when the first owner Mr. Mariangelo Carmine registered the car with plate "VD 23782" in Lausanne. He probably waited until the long, cold and snowy Swiss winter was finally over. He would keep the car for exactly five years, when it moved to its second owner, a Mr. Roger Poinsot living in Geneva. He registered the car on May 17, 1976 with plate "GE 306313". On 13 February 1981, Mr. Poinsot sold the car to the third owner, Mr. Georges Kolb from Appenzell. He would keep the car for nearly 35 years.

In 2016, the car was repainted in its original color Argento Indianapolis. In 2017, we acquired the car for a respected collector and very good friend of our company. He was the fourth owner and the first owner residing outside Switzerland. The car was registered in The Netherlands immediately after the importation. In the years that followed, the car was meticulously driven and serviced. We brought the car for a tour around Lago di Como in 2018 and the car became a multiple award winning car. First shown at the Concours d’Elegance Paleis Het Loo in 2018, where it won “Gentleman’s Sports Cars of the Seventies”, later at Concours d’Elegance Paleis Soestdijk, where it won “60 Years of Lamborghini”. More recently, in May 2025, the car was shown at the “Lugano Elegance” concours and again, our Lamborghini Miura won its class “Travel in Style – GT and Sports Cars”.

In April-May 2025, the car was completely serviced and detailed, work included a complete maintenance, replacement of all fluids and filters, rebuilt of the original Koni suspension, replacement of the clutch and tuning of the carburettors. All work is detailed with photographs and invoices. Until today, the car has its original matching numbers engine. A compression test has been carried out and shows perfect compression on all twelve cylinders.
