ABOUT
On September 19, 1996 this Ferrari 456 GT was delivered to its first owner. On special occasions (and for very special people) Ferrari supplies the car directly without involvement of a dealership. This happened to this Ferrari 456 GT. First owner was Federico Jose Carlos Themudo D’Orey from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (born 25 March 1938). Better known as Fritz d’Orey – a forgotten Formula One driver. He drove three grand prix races with a Maserati 250F for Scuderia Centro Sud.
He drove the car in France on temporary export plates. During his ownership the car was serviced at the official dealership in France, Pozzi. Later, he would sell the car to a well-known Dutch car collector and entrepreneur who became the second owner. In 2006 the car went to another car collector and moved to Monaco, where we discovered the car recently.
The car is believed to be one of only 55 examples in Verde Inglese. The car has just been completely serviced, including timing belts, fluids and filters, sticky interior parts renovated and new Pirelli tires are fitted. The car is ready to be enjoyed by its next – and in the cars history only fourth – custodian.
An original Schedoni luggage set will be included in the sale.
