EQUUS demonstrated its dedication to honoring the design, power and detailed styling of iconic 1960’s and 1970’s muscle cars with the release of the Bass770. The rare seductive power of those legendary beauties, brought on by their unique fastback signature, enraptures and enthralls to this day. The EQUUS sets a new measure in the hand-build luxury automobile class as a brand-new muscle car bringing together the best of 21st century American technological savoir-faire. Equus means horse in Latin.

The exterior was inspired by many classic muscle cars of the 70s, including the Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Plymouth Barracuda, Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang and the AMC Marlin. The interior also sports a vintage look, with retro-spec gauges, switches and steering wheel, while maintaining a modern aspect with many LED components used for the exterior and modern technology.

The car’s chassis and body are made of aluminum to keep weight as low as possible, with additional carbon fiber inlets to enhance structural strength and stability. The engine is a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 derived from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The engine delivers 640 horsepower at 6500 RPM and 820 Nm torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and achieve a top speed above 320 km/h. All of the power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed rear-mounted dual-clutch transmission making the car rear-wheel drive. The entire vehicle is handcrafted and it took at least 5,000 man hours to produce a vehicle.

In 2015 this car was ordered directly at EQUUS by a respected European client of us. He took delivery of the car in early 2016 and had the car road registered in Europe on 11 May 2016. We assume this is the only Equus Bass770 registered in Europe today! This example is number 5 of 15 examples produced. And exactly how it left the factory. Specialized specification for the car are the air intake cover, colored intercooler, engine cover with plate, additional driving lamps, interior accents in chrome, color painted calipers, colored paint wheel finishes, front and rear masks and chrome window trim.
