Our friends at RM Sotheby’s are hosting The Porsche 70th Anniversary Sale in collaboration with Porsche Experience Centre Atlanta at Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta.

During this unique single-marque auction, some of the most important and sought-after Porsches are offered. The auction is organized in America. Their market has always played an essential role for Porsche. The first Porsche that entered the American market was the beautiful 356 Speedster in 1954. The signature design elements such as its low windscreen, bucket seats and small folding top, made the Speedster an instant hit, especially in sunny Southern California.

An exciting collaboration

Kenneth Ahn, President of RM Sotheby’s, is ‘’thrilled to be working with Porsche to present The Porsche 70th Anniversary Sale. We have witnessed record-setting results and incredible atmosphere at several manufacturer-supported single-marque sales over the last decade, and we look forward to offering our clients an unparalleled auction experience in Atlanta this fall.’’

Andre Oosthuizen, Vice-President of Marketing for Porsche Cars North America is ‘’excited to open our doors to RM Sotheby’s exclusive Porsche-only sale this coming October. Even before the full concept of our first Porsche Experience Centre in North America saw the light of day, we realized the tremendous opportunities a facility like this would attract.’’

Various art works, engine blocks and junior cars are offered among the real cars. The 365 Speedster played a huge role in the early days of Porsche North America. At least three are offered for sale at this Porsche auction.
